Amidst the neighborhood of the historic Arizona Biltmore, this casual French Country estate is nestled within a mature mesquite grove and an undulating topography boasting waves of plant color and texture. Gesturing hints of an informal countryside landscape while staying true to the character of the neighborhood, was the biggest challenge to the design. The landscape program integrates functional spaces such as the grassy meadow, petite grape vineyard, pool lounge and alfresco dining- all encouraging a dialogue with the built architecture. The combination of timeless materials, found elements, sculpted earthwork and flora were all carefully considered and woven into the fabric of the parti- ultimately striking a perfect balance between the estate and its inhabitants.
